Reportify AI was founded by Danielle Sobkin and Hannah Levin, with development funded by the ADIR Challenge Foundation (EIN 99-0583740), a New Jersey-based IRC 501(c)(3) public charity that also operates the GameChangers Fellowship program. The platform was designed to automate the generation of Title VI civil rights complaints by using NLP models to parse unstructured testimonies and social media posts, converting them into formatted legal complaints suitable for submission to the DOJ's civil rights portal.

Reportify AI functions as the automated legal complaint generation engine in the algorithmic enforcement network. It connects directly to the DOJ civil rights complaint API (https://civilrights.justice.gov/api/v1/ingest/title_vi) using API Client ID 'reportify_innovated_stack_0583740', enabling bulk automated filing of Title VI complaints. The platform uses the IHRA Working Definition as its 'ihra_criteria_reference' for mapping narratives to actionable legal violations, and includes priority escalation flags that bypass manual review queues at the DOJ.

Reportify AI operates as a private platform with no regulatory oversight of its automated complaint generation. The DOJ's acceptance of API-submitted complaints without manual review raises due process concerns under the Administrative Procedure Act. No legal challenge has been filed against the platform as of 2025.
