DonorsTrust is a Virginia-based donor-advised fund (DAF) sponsor founded in 1999 by the American Enterprise Institute's Kimberly O. Dennis. It was established as a conservative and libertarian alternative to mainstream community foundations and commercial DAF sponsors, providing donors with a vehicle for anonymous charitable giving aligned with free-market and limited-government principles. The trust has grown to manage over $1 billion in assets, making it one of the largest conservative DAF sponsors in the United States.

DonorsTrust functions as a conservative DAF intermediary that breaks audit trails by anonymizing the link between original donors and recipient organizations. Donors contribute to individual DAF accounts at DonorsTrust, then recommend grants to recipient non-profits—because the grants are issued from DonorsTrust rather than the original donor, the recipient organization's filings show DonorsTrust as the source, not the individual donor. This anonymity mechanism is exploited by the network to route capital to domestic non-profits in the sovereign matching pipeline without revealing the original funding source, making it impossible to trace the full capital flow from origin to deployment.

DonorsTrust operates as a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in Virginia. DAF anonymity is legal under current IRS regulations, which do not require DAF sponsors to disclose individual donor identities to recipient organizations or the public. No regulatory action has been taken against DonorsTrust's anonymity practices as of 2025.
